Fun Cakes believes that cakes should be fun! Our Birthday cakes are all handmade to order and created using the finest ingredients. We don't make a standard birthday cake, all of our cakes are full of novelty value, and created to meet your exact requirements. The design of your Birthday cake

Cakes can be created around a party theme, a TV show, hobby - absolutely anything! Cake ideas and inspiration can be taken from websites, books, magazines or your imagination. Fun cakes can help shape your thoughts and turn the design into the centre piece you are hoping for.

Prices for Birthday cake

Cake prices can vary, depending on the complexity of the design, how many the cake needs to feed and the time taken to create it. At one end of the market are the mass produced supermarket cakes. However, if you are looking for a handmade cake, designed to a theme and created with fresh ingredients - a cake maker is your best bet. These will be more expensive than the supermarket cakes - but you can certainly see, and taste the difference!

Delivery of Birthday cakes

Cakes can be quite delicate, transporting them over long distances is not a great idea! Try and choose a cake maker that is fairly local to you especially if you have an elaborate cake design in mind. Fun Cakes is based in Locks Heath (in Southampton), so we can easily deliver cakes to Southampton and Portsmouth (or within the Hampshire area), or the cakes can be collected.

For deliveries outside the immediate local area, a delivery cost of 50p per mile (round trip) is charged. A typical delivery cost to take a cake to Southampton or Portsmouth works out at approximately £12. Please see the questions page for more information.

Birthday cake flavours

Cakes can be baked to suit any taste, the most popular flavours our customers request are chocolate, vanilla, lemon and rich chocolate. We have also produced carrot cake, fruit cake, and a baileys madeira cake. The madeira sponges have a butter cream filling. All of the fun cakes are created using only the finest fresh ingredients.

All of our cakes are custom made to your design - you don't need to buy the cakes as per the photos, you can change the colour and add extra details to ensure the cake is personal to you. We will work with you to get the cake just as you would like it. Contact us for information or a quote.
